Our fave glittery "do-gooder", Betsey Johnson (Piggy-backing on her Relief for Haiti fundraising), will be honored during AAPD's Annual Gala next week. Instead of just sitting back and basking in her glory, she's giving major props to fashionable lovelies with various disabilities and allowing them to strut their stuff in her famously happy designs during a cocktail reception. This fab event will be taking place at the RIAA in DC on March 10th.
Go Betsey!

An Everlasting Love for Nars!
It's that time of the year again...holiday parties...torrid shopping...eating way to much... yes, it's the time for celebration! GP is definitely all about celebrating the holiday season and is looking forward to an exciting, goal-ridden new year (And the glitz and glam of award season, of course!) but, in our line of work, we can't help but be more than excited about celebrating the anniversaries of our favorite beauty brands! Dany Sanz and her Make Up For ever line have been celebrating their 25th year ALL year with fabulous events and budget-friendly sets (Like their "Best Of" and "Aqua Eye Collector" sets!) and now Francois and his infamous Nars brand, which first launched in Barneys New York (Barneys NYC hosted a birthday party for Nars on December 10th!) has kicked off the celebration of their 15th year with a new "full face" palette! The "Everlasting Love" palette will allow you to be supermodel ready...on the go. We all love Nars for his fierce smokey eye skills...and now he's passing them along to you with four super-pigmented shadows (Night Breed, Edie and Underworlds I & II), the iconic Orgasm Blush, South Beach Multiple and everything you need for a gorgeous nude lip (Promiscuous, Chelsea Girls, Belle de Jour and Dolce Vita). Everything is housed in Nars' usual sleek, black compact but it's also adorned with the "Nars15" logo. Love it!
Nars is also celebrating his brand's 15th year with the release of a new book project. "15x15" again focuses on Nars' personal photographs of his work. He released a similar book, "X-Ray", in 1999. His last book, "Makeup Your Mind", (Currently available at Amazon for $26...much less than what I paid for it a few years ago! :P) is the ultimate "how to" for recreating the looks he's known for. Bright and beautiful photographs of Naomi Campbell, Marc Jacobs, Lisa Marie Smith, Amber Valetta and others make "15x15" the perfect coffee table book. This book is extremely limited...only 1500 have been printed...so, if you want it (And you KNOW you do!) get it fast! Find out more @ 15x15Project.com.

Hard As Nails? Sally Hansen Love!
If you're like me, you love a product that actually does what it says it's supposed to do. Sally Hansen has followed this notion with her entire product line and it looks like she has no intention of ending it. As many of our fave lines have fallen into using less expensive ingredients and materials to keep up in our broken economy, Sally Hansen has continued producing salon quality products for chicas on a budget! I know this because I recently called on Sally's products to help to rehabilitate my thin, sensitive nailbeds. I'd had acrylic and gel overlays on my natural nails (sculpted nails) for over 13 year and, with my busy schedule and a shortage of nail techs who are actually worth the money (Not to mention the fact that I've been buying new polishes on a weekly basis for some time now.), I'd finally had enough and decided to take them off. I mean, I can polish my own nails a lot better than most. And it's free! In an effort to keep the length of my natural nails, I set out to find a product that would keep them strong. There are a bunch of gimmicky products on the market claiming to take care of this, but I'd heard so many great things about Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener, that I figured I should go there first. I must say that I'm SO happy I did. This product promises to help your nails grow while ending nail splitting, breakage and peeling...guess what? It actually does. Micro-Diamond...Titanium? I'm all about it!

Gearing Up For A Glossy Move!
The Glossy Posse has been a little quiet lately, due to some big moves we're in the process of making. A few of our biggest moves are actually moving! While we've been super excited about all of the holiday glam and fab colors going on for our faces and bodies for the holiday season, we've been all about what's going on the home decor end as well. As I gear up for my move to my new condo this week, I've been so appreciative of the inspiration I've received from all of the home decor blogs and sites out there. I'd like to share some of my favorites:
http://www.elledecor.com/ - If you're a mag junkie like I am, you NEED to know that Elle Decor has a ridiculous subscription promotion going on for the holidays. The new issue has flyers for a 2 year promotion for $15. That's 20 issues! The newsstand price for each issue is $4.99...which means you're clearly saving $85. Insane, yes? Their online promo is 1 year (10 issues) for $10. That's still a fantastic deal!

Intermix Goes An Even Brighter Pink!
Earlier this year, controversial artist and photographer Marilyn Minter, collaborated with MAC on her very own collection of their infamous pigments and glitters. She's now collaborated with Intermix on a tote bag (Rihanna rocks it!) in support of her HD video Green Pink Caviar and Bright Pink, a non-profit organization striving to empower, support and educate women with or at risk of suffering from breast or ovarian cancer. This absolutely fab tote ($48) features an uber-glossy still from GPC. A must for a fashionable "do-gooders" wanting to help their fellow sisters while adding some "funk" to their daily toting. A portion of the proceeds of the sales of these totes go directly to Bright Pink. Head over to your closest Intermix store or CLICK HERE to order yours now!
